A wall junction needs a coordinated flashing and sealing detail, not only a bead of sealant.

Identify the junction

Show whether the roof meets the wall at its high end or along its side. Provide wall material, roof pitch and photographs of existing finishes. Flashing geometry and fixing access vary between these arrangements.

Components to coordinate

A wall flashing sheds water onto the roof. A counterflashing or suitable termination protects its upper edge, while profile-matched closures and compatible sealant address the remaining openings. Confirm which pieces are supplied and which are installed locally.

Use a confirmed detail

A masonry chase can provide a protected flashing termination where the wall construction permits it. Cutting a chase is not suitable for every wall, cladding or waterproofing system. Confirm dimensions, movement allowance and substrate compatibility with the project installer before fabrication.
