Request a useful sample set

Request short sample sections around 200-300 mm long. Ask for two matching joint samples when connection fit is important. Confirm whether the sample represents the actual colour, skin configuration and profile being quoted.

Inspect visible details

Look at coating appearance, cut edges, core uniformity and joint fit. Compare thickness measurements using an agreed method, accounting for coating and measurement uncertainty. Avoid sharp cut edges and do not treat an improvised knife test as a certified bond-strength test.

Know the limitations

A short sample cannot establish allowable roof spans, wind resistance, acoustic ratings or a complete fire classification. Request the relevant documentation and identify which claims have not been tested for the proposed assembly.

OEM roof panel sample approval for distributors

For custom insulated aluminum roof panels or private-label requests, give each configuration a product code and drawing revision. Record the approved physical finish sample, both skin specifications, core, effective width and inspection points. Include joint-fit checks, measurement methods and agreed tolerances in the approval record.

Specify where branding should appear and who approves the artwork. Confirm OEM/ODM scope, quantities, brand-use permissions and distribution terms in writing. Sample approval establishes an identifiable reference, not proof of every performance property. Record a finish or construction change before repeating an order under the same customer-facing name.
