Inspect before unloading

Compare pack labels and quantities with the delivery list. Photograph visible packaging damage, wet packs or bent edges before moving the material. Notify the supplier promptly and retain the relevant delivery records.

Plan lifting and storage

Use a lifting plan appropriate to the pack weight and sheet length. Protect contact points, avoid dragging sheets by a single skin and keep packs on stable supports clear of the ground. Store under cover with ventilation and prevent water from being trapped between sheets.

Remove protection appropriately

Follow the supplied film instructions and remove protection promptly as installation permits. The 30-day removal limit should be checked against the actual film and exposure conditions; it is not a promise that outdoor exposure is harmless for that period.

Arrival checklist for the site team

Keep the handling instructions with the packing list. Before unloading, record pack condition and check access, lifting equipment and the supporting surface. Protect sheet faces at contact points and avoid single-point lifting or dragging a panel by its skin.

Keep stored packs raised on dry, stable supports and sheltered from rain. If temporary outside storage is unavoidable, use a weatherproof cover with ventilation rather than trapping moisture inside a sealed wrapping.

Protective-film removal

Remove the PE protective film within 30 days after installation. Arrange removal promptly and avoid prolonged sunlight exposure while the film remains attached. Follow any more restrictive film instructions supplied with the actual delivery.
